Protopresbyter Grigorios Stamkopoulos is a priest in the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki. He graduated from the Departments of Physics and Theology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1991 and 2000 respectively. He has a post-graduate degree in Electronic Physics, has a Ph. D. in Medical Informatics from the A.U.Th. and is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Pastoral and Social Theology at the A.U. Th. He has carried out post-doctoral research at the University of Yale, specializing in Telemedicine. He is Vice-Chairman of the Governing Body of the Upper Ecclesiastical Academy in Thessaloniki and Director of the Saint Gregory Palamas Cultural Institute. He has been elected Assistant Professor of Applied Information technology at the Upper Ecclesiastical Academy in Thessaloniki.
