Hieromonk Maximos Constas

Fr. Maximos Constas, formerly Associate Professor of Theology at Harvard Divinity School, is Senior Research Scholar at Holy Cross School of Theology, in Brookline, Mass. He is the author of Proclus of Constantinople and the Cult of the Virgin in Late Antiquity (Leiden, 2003); a critical edition and English translation of the Ambigua of Maximos the Confessor (Cambridge, Mass., 2014); and The Art of Seeing: Paradox and Perception in Orthodox Iconography (Los Angeles, 2014). He is currently writing a book on the Philokalia.
